Oakland Park is located just West of Wilton Manors. You cannot notice when you leave one City or the other.  There are many Gay Owned and operated businesses in Oakland Park. Oakland Park has several Parks that it is noted for.

We have included as much information as possible for Wilton Manors.This exciting city surrounded by rivers and called the "Island City."

Wilton Manors has become somewhat of the Gay Center of Bars, a Dance Club, large variety of Gay and Lesbian owned Restaurants and other small businesses including Real Estate offices, Attorneys, clothing and home decorating shops.

With swaying palm trees, a relaxed friendly atmosphere, an exciting nightlife, and high temperature rates ranging from 76 degrees Fahrenheit in January to low 90's in July, Wilton Manors is a great place to be anytime of the year.

Located inbetween Fort Lauderdale and Oakland Park is generally considered and referred to as Fort Lauderdale.  Most businesses use Fort Lauderdale as their address so it is hard to tell when you leave one City and enter another.

Wilton Manors is going through many upgrading changes and has some progressive plans for adding upscale housing and more businesses.  It is the only City in Florida to have a openly Gay Mayor and some of the commissioners are Gay.

Wilton Manors is also the home of the STONEWALL Library & Archives which collects and preserves the GLBT records of its Culture and History.
