Getting To Fort Lauderdale

A great many visitors arrive through Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (FLL), which is served by most major airlines.  FLL is located at the intersection of Federal Hwy (US1) and I-575. I-95 is just a few miles to the west on I-575. You may also choose the Miami Airport or the Palm Beach Airport, both only a 45 minute drive to Fort Lauderdale.

Offering many more daily flights than FLL,  Miami International Airport (MIA) is definitely an option to consider.  To reach Fort Lauderdale from MIA, follow the Airport Expressway to I-95, then follow I-95 north for approximately 35 miles.  If you drive from MIA, stick to the main roads, as the airport isn't in the greatest neighborhood.

Palm Beach International Airport.

The smallest of the three airports but it too have many flights from around the country.  From Palm Beach you may take either  I 95 south to the Fort Lauderdale Exit of your choice (Sunrise Blvd. is the most centerally located).  It is about a 45 minute drive.  You may also do the same route using the Florida Turnpike.

By Car
South Florida is very easy to reach by car.  From the north, follow I-95 or the Florida Turnpike south to Fort Lauderdale.  I-95 runs along the eastern coast, and the Florida Turnpike runs south from its intersection with I-75 through Orlando into South Florida.

By Train
Amtrak offers many different ways to get to South Florida.  Amtrak's "Silver Service" offers three different trains all with direct routes to South Florida from the North East, and 2 other routes connect Florida with the West.

By Bus
Greyhound also offer a multitude of ways to get to South Florida.
